Tingdong for iPhone and iPad
When you can’t keep up, read along.
Words appear while people are still talking. Can’t hear them? Read the original. Can’t follow the language? Read the translation. Tingdong for iPhone and iPad goes where you go: a meeting room, a lecture hall, a counter, the family table. Every session leaves a transcript you can search later.

Put your iPhone on the table and the room becomes live subtitles. Original and translation appear line by line, and each speaker gets their own color, so you can follow who said what. Add names and terms to “Words for This Session” before you start.
“Conversation” splits the screen between two people: each of you reads in your own language. Translations can also be read aloud, so the other person hears them too.

Big, high-contrast text you can turn toward the person in front of you. Hand over a card they answer with one tap, in their own language: “Yes”, “No”, “Please say it again” or “Please speak more slowly”. Or type a sentence and show it full screen. Made with Deaf and hard-of-hearing people in mind.
Not a replacement for sign language interpreters, CART or medical devices.

Switch to another app or lock your iPhone, and the latest line keeps showing on the Lock Screen. Turn it on in Tingdong’s Settings, under “When You Leave Tingdong”. You can also start captions from Control Center.

Each session is saved on your iPhone or iPad as a transcript you can search, copy and share, and it also appears in the Files app under Tingdong. Keep a session’s recording too, and you can play the audio back from any line.

Captions and translation in 60+ languages, including English, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, Arabic and Hindi. The app itself comes in 19 interface languages.
On iPad, the original and the translation sit side by side, sentence by sentence, in a wide table that’s easy to scan, or one above the other. For Conversation, lay the iPad flat between two people: each half faces its reader. Big text fills the screen for the whole table to see. It’s the same app as on iPhone, and your plan covers both.
